In June 2019, Alto attended the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) Annual Council Meeting in Lisbon, Portugal, where Alto CEO, Alejandro Romero, participated in a panel discussion that addressed the key theme, “Preparing for an Internet Cold War“. Alejandro Romero has recently been invited to join as a member of the Council as of earlier this year.
The European Council on Foreign Relations is an award-winning pan-European think tank with offices in seven European capitals, Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Warsaw, and Sofia. Launched in October 2007, it conducts research on European foreign and security policy and provides a meeting space for decision-makers, activists, and influencers to share ideas. The ECFR builds coalitions for change at the European level and promotes informed debate about Europe’s role in the world.
Alto actively supports the ECFR’s efforts to conduct cutting-edge, independent research and build coalitions for resilience and change. We look forward to an enduring and robust relationship with the ECFR and its corresponding initiatives, and we will actively continue to contribute research to better understand the global challenges posed by the evolving landscape of digital disinformation.
